紐約建寺 ── 傳燈寺面向全球之弘法道場
僧團立足於加拿大傳燈寺逾15年，然因地處遺世獨立之PEI，僧眾醫療照護，乃至對外接眾弘化均實屬不易。
為進一步圓滿傳燈寺之外護，同時面向全球廣弘聖教，真如老師審觀緣起，選定紐約上州一片吉祥之阿蘭若處，幅員遼闊、寂靜攝心，暫名「空山寺」，作為比丘僧團於美國紐約之住錫道場。未來將啟建永久寺院建築，開展對佛陀教法深廣之弘揚。

The monastic community of the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society (GEBIS) was established over fifteen years ago on the remote and peaceful soils of Prince Edward Island, Canada. After years of cultivation, growth, and teaching locally, it now wishes to provide opportunities for Dharma learning and personal cultivation to more than the local communities, and create closer connections with friends and followers around the world.
The monastery in New York will be an important channel both for bringing the Dharma to more students, and for students around the world to more closely connect with and support the monastic community. After careful consideration, our Spiritual Teacher Zhen-Ru has chosen a serene and auspicious site in Upstate New York, tentatively named “Kongshan Monastery (Ethereal Mountain Monastery),” as the location for the GEBIS monastery in New York. Plans are underway to build a permanent monastic campus.

A Global Dharma Center for GEBIS
The monastic community of the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society (GEBIS) was established over fifteen years ago on the remote and peaceful soils of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society located in the United States (hereinafter referred to as the “GEBIS USA”) reserves all rights and has absolute discretion and full control as to the use of contributions to the Fund in order to ensure that the Fund will be used to carry out the mission statement, the functions and the purposes of the GEBIS USA. By reading through the statements regarding each Fund, you are notified and agree with these statements before making any contribution or donation to the Fund. Once your contribution has been made to the Fund, it will be deemed that you have agreed with these statements.
